Symlink Manager
Create and manage symbolic links, directory junctions, and hard links with a guided interface and batch operations.
Link Types
Three types of filesystem links are supported:
- Symbolic Link — a pointer to a file or directory that works across drives. Requires elevated privileges on older Windows versions.
- Junction — a directory-only link that works on the same volume. Does not require elevation.
- Hard Link — a second directory entry pointing to the same file data. Both entries are equal; deleting one does not affect the other. File-only, same volume.
Managing Links
Create new links with a guided interface that validates paths and permissions. View existing link targets for any file or folder. Batch-create links from a CSV or text file. The Symlink Manager also integrates with the Explorer context menu for quick link creation.
