Advanced Tools

19 integrated tools including disk analysis, duplicate finder, hex viewer, benchmarking, folder snapshots, symlink management, file unlocking, metadata editing, and more.

Disk Analyzer

Scans drives and folders to visualise space usage. Drill down into subdirectories, view the top 50 largest files, and see a file-type breakdown chart. Useful for finding space hogs before a copy or clean-up operation.

Duplicate Finder

Finds duplicate files using hash-based or size-based detection. Select which duplicates to keep and delete the rest, or move them to a staging folder. Supports multi-folder scanning and can be launched from the shell context menu.

Hex Viewer

Binary file viewer displaying hex bytes alongside ASCII columns. Navigate large files with offset addressing. Useful for inspecting file headers, verifying binary content, or diagnosing corruption.

Speed Benchmark

I/O performance benchmarking for drives. Measures sequential read/write and random I/O throughput. Useful for comparing drive performance or validating copy engine settings before large transfers.

Folder Snapshot

Creates point-in-time snapshots of a folder's file listing (names, sizes, hashes, timestamps). Compare snapshots to detect changes over time. Useful for change tracking and backup validation.

Symlink Manager

Create and manage symbolic links, junctions, and hard links. View existing link targets, create new links with a guided interface, and batch-manage links across directories.

File Unlocker

Finds and releases locked file handles held by other processes. When a file is “in use” and cannot be copied, moved, or deleted, the unlocker identifies which process holds the handle and lets you release it.

Metadata Editor

Edit file properties including creation date, modification date, author, and file attributes (read-only, hidden, system, archive). Useful for correcting timestamps after transfers or organising files.

NTFS Streams

View and edit NTFS Alternate Data Streams (ADS) attached to files and folders. List all streams, view stream content, add new streams, or remove existing ones. Helps diagnose Zone.Identifier and other metadata issues.

Space Map

Visual treemap and pie chart of disk usage. Colour-coded blocks represent files and folders proportional to their size. Click any block to drill down. Export the map as an image for reporting.

File Recovery & Batch Rename

File Recovery attempts to recover deleted files from NTFS volumes by scanning the Master File Table for orphaned entries.

Batch Rename renames hundreds of files at once using find-and-replace, regex patterns, numbering sequences ({n}, {n:000}), or custom templates with placeholders like {original}, {ext}, {date}, and {parent}. Preview all changes before applying, with full undo support.
