Speed Benchmark

Benchmark sequential and random I/O performance for drives and network paths with detailed throughput reporting.

Benchmark Modes

Two benchmark modes measure different aspects of I/O performance:

  • Sequential — measures sustained read and write throughput using large block transfers. Reflects real-world copy performance for large files.
  • Random — measures random read and write IOPS using small block sizes. Reflects performance for many small files or database workloads.

Configuration & Results

Configure the test file size, block size, thread count, and duration. Results display throughput in MB/s, IOPS, and latency percentiles (avg, p50, p95, p99). Compare results across drives to choose the best source and destination for large transfers. Export results to CSV for documentation.
