File Recovery

Attempt to recover deleted or lost files from NTFS volumes by scanning the Master File Table for orphaned file entries.

Overview

File Recovery scans NTFS volumes for deleted file entries that have not yet been overwritten. The tool reads the Master File Table (MFT) directly to find orphaned records with recoverable data clusters. Results show the original filename, path, size, and recovery confidence level.

Recovery Process

Select files to recover and choose a destination folder (always on a different drive to avoid overwriting data). The tool attempts to read the original data clusters. Recovery success depends on whether the clusters have been reallocated since deletion. For best results, run recovery as soon as possible after deletion and avoid writing to the source drive.
